On the streets on the east coast in Baltimore, there is a man collapsed wearing raggedy clothes who when observed a feeling of familiarity washes over the observer like they’ve seen a face like his somewhere else like he is someone famous. Famous he indeed is, as he is a certain poet named Edgar Allen Poe. Poe himself being a famous poet you would assume we know most of his life story, from his birth till his death however his death is shrouded in mystery to which the reason for his death we can only speculate. Despite this, there is a substantial amount of evidence pointing to the fact that Poe died from the aftereffects of cooping, from him being ruffled up, wearing heavily soiled, shabby clothing that was not his own, and in a delirious state he couldn’t explain. To begin with, Edgar Allen Poe was a victim of cooping, for context cooping is a method of fraud commonly practiced by gangs in the nineteenth century. A victim would be kidnapped, disguised, and forced to vote multiple times under different identities.
