Every year Edgewood College feels more like home and has become more apparent that attending Edgewood was the right choice for me. Since joining the Edgewood community I have the opportunity to excel in my studies as well as find my place in an active role in the student body. My academic success began as a freshman in 2013, I achieved a 3.5 GPA which qualified me to make semester honors. Since, I have made semester honors in fall of 2014, 2015, and spring of 2015. I have a career GPA of 3.75 and have been the most proud to have had the academic strength to study abroad in Germany. Currently I am still in my semester abroad, working towards an International Business Certificate that will complement my studies in Business, Computer Information Systems, and Economics. My involvement on campus also started with the beginning of my first semester at Edgewood; I have been a work-study student the entirety of my career at Edgewood beginning in food service as a barista. By the time I was entering my third year on campus, I had transitioned into a manager role. My role as student manager taught me how to guide other students into taking responsibility and stand out a leader to others who need help. Additionally, in the spring of my freshman year I was hired in the Human Resources Office on campus and subsequently assisted in two other offices on campus in relation to my duties in the HR Office. I also rose up in this role, becoming the student lead for the HR office, training newly hired students as well as taking on special projects and higher levels of responsibility.
