Electronic Dance Music has been around for almost 15 years now , it has been getting bigger since the 1980’s till now. EDM has more than 15 genres just to name some like House , Electro , Deep House , Dubstep , Trap and Future House , ect. It had first been growing in cities Detroit , NewYork and London.
The music in general keeps changing throughout the years , one of the biggest EDM labels that released the top hits of EDM was definitely ‘Spinnin Records’.
I think EDM has a positive and a negative impact on the music industry and their sales around the world.

When EDM first started to develop and get famous , artists focused more on getting the music out there and promoting it more than thinking about the profit.

Teenagers are in love with partying and the music itself so the go to those festivals for the loud music and the drinking , these festivals has done an image for the world that EDM is just loud noise and non-sense , they don’t know about the art of the music production itself. The second reason for EDM getting global is by the help of the internet , many people these days get famous due to the internet , by maybe posting some videos online or maybe by releasing their music online.
I think Spinnin records plays a big role in releasing EDM and promoting it , it was founded by Eelko Van Kooten & Roger De Graaf. Spinnin records was founded in Holland in 1999 and was known that ‘It reached the heart of America in 2014 due to the track called ‘Animals’ by the 18 yr producer and Dj martin Garrix. (BillBoard.com , June 27 , 2013) By Spinnin records promoting the music they release released really well , they exposed EDM more around the world and more due to their songs being played by big DJ’s in festivals and clubs and by being played on the biggest radio shows
