Edmund Kemper was born on December 18, 1948 in Burbank, California. He lived in Burbank, California up until his parents got divorced in 1957. He then moved to Montana with his mother and two sisters. Edmund's mother was an alcoholic making for a very difficult relationship. On top of being very critical of him she also blamed Edmund for all of her problems. It was expected that his mother possibly suffered from borderline personality disorder. She would not hug or show affection to Edmund as she thought it would make him gay. Edmund began to display dark fantasies. He stalked his second grade teacher while carrying his father's bayonet. At the early age of ten Edmund buried one of their cats while it was still alive. He would cut the heads off of his sisters dolls. At the age of 13 he murdered their other cat with a knife and kept the pieces of the cat in his closet until his mother found them. Now 15 and 6' 4" his mother was afraid of him forced him to sleep in a locked basement for fear he might harm his sisters. He started to dream about killing his mother. It's been noted that he had given many of them rides and released with no harm. Mary Ann Pesce and Anita Luchessa, two students from Fresno State, were not as lucky. After killing the victims Kemper would have sex with the corpses. Mary Ann Pesce's severed head was eventually found in the woods near Santa Cruz. Unfortunately Luchessa's remains were never found. Between 1972 and 1973 Kemper murdered six students; Mary Ann Pesce (18), Anita Luchessa (18), Aiko Koo (15), Cindy Schall (18), Rosalind Thorpe (23) and Allison Liu (20). He would either shot, stab, smother or strangle his victims. After killing them he would have intercourse with the corpses before dismembering them.
