Edmund Emil Kemper III also known as Ed Kemper was born in California in 1948. He is an American serial killer who is known for murdering 10 people including his mother and grandparents. Kemper murdered people between 1964 and 1973 which included both family and innocent young women. Kemper is known for his imposing size, standing over 6 feet tall. Ed had a very high IQ. He’s been made a fascination in popular culture with numerous tv shows and movies featuring fictionalized versions of his story. Ed was labeled as the “Co-ed Killer” and the “Co-ed Butcher.” One of kempers hell-bound murders was his grandma, Maude M. Hughey Kemper. Kemper hated living on the farm. Kemper got his rifle taken away due to him killing birds and other animals. This angered him.. On August 27, 1964 he let his building rage out on his grandparents. At 15 Kemper got into an argument with his grandmother and ended in him shooting her. Then Kemper got scared when his grandpa showed up so he went outside and killed him next to his car. Kemper hid the bodies. Moments later he told his mom to call the police because he killed his grandparents. Kemper told police that he wanted "to see what it felt like." From May of 1972 to February 1973 Kemper killed his next eight victims. Kemper would pick up female hitchhikers and take them to his house. There, he would cut their hands and heads off. After cutting them off he would then engage in sexual activities to their headless bodies. Kemper would put their heads on sticks in the woods. Kemper picked up one hitchhiker, Cindy Schall, whom he shot and killed. Kemper then hid Schall’s body in his room.
