I chose a serial killer named Edmund Kemper. Edmund Kemper's parents divorced while he was quite young and he was sent to live with his mother and two sisters in Montana. Kemper did not have a good relationship with his mother, an alcoholic. When Kemper was just ten years old his mother forced him to live in the basement in fear of him hurting his sisters in any way. Signs of his trouble started very early with dark fantasies and even dreams of killing his mother. At age13 Kemper killed his cat with a knife and went to live with his father. He ended up moving back with his mother who sent him to live with his grandparents in North Fork, California. On August 27, 1964 Kemper shot and killed his grandmother after an argument. May 7, 1972 he offered two Fresno College Students a ride but they never reached their destination. January of 1973 Kemper picked up hitchhiker Cindy Schall and shot her. Kemper's mother got him a campus parking sticker so he could pick her up. On February 5, 1973 he used the sticker to pick up two students after a fight with his mom. Shortly after he had picked them up he shot and killed the women. April3, 1973 Kemper went to his mother's home where they got into a fight. After his mother went to sleep Kemper killed her by hitting her in the head with a hammer and then cutting her throat with a knife. He then invited his mother's good friend over, killed her, hid he body in the closet and then fled the next day. Kemper was charged with eight counts of first degree-murder. He was found guilty of all eight charges and received eight concurrent life sentences. Kemper's murders were committed in North Fork, California and Santa Cruz, California. There were eight victims of Edmund Kemper. Kemper falls under the definition of serial killer because he had several victims in separate events and
