The issue our team is examining is the education provided for inmates in the criminal justice system and making sure they get the help they need, so they will not re-offend. There is an established connection between illiteracy, innumeracy, and crime activity. Most inmates do have admission to education options and guidance while in the penitentiary. The goal is to allow prisoners to advance in skills and credentials that will assist them to obtain a job upon being released from prison. Studies demonstrate that inmates who obtain a job after they are out of prison are less probable to re-offend (CIVITAS, 2010).

There are many supporting issues that are to blame for someone partaking in a life of crime. This research will deliberate on inmates getting the proper skills and education they need to obtain a job after prison.
Background to Research Questions
We proposed the research questions for many reasons. We truly believe that if inmates obtain an education while in prison and has the help, they need to prepare for job readiness, and then it will help with lowering the crime rates. We are exploring any studies that will help with our research. We think more can be done to improve the criminal justice system in helping the inmates earning the skills and qualifications that they need to do better. There are things that can be done to help and it is worth the outcome.
Justification of Research

One big is criminals committing more crimes because they do not have money. The increase in crime rate will continue to increase. The objective need to aim to higher the rate of education for inmates because it is showed to lower recidivism. It is healthier for our world, and it is healthier for our families’ and our societies overall ("Prison Education", 2015).
Larger Issues
The prison system needs to provide an education system to inmates to help with converting back into society after being released from prison. The education system needs to give them skills that they need in order to get a job where they are able to support themselves. The reason for the need to educate inmates is so that they do not become repeat offenders.
