After obtaining my associate degree I began my own step team and mentoring the young ladies at Arbor Hill Elementary in Albany NY. I then decided to continue my education with obtaining my bachelors degree in Business Administration. Being that I have become a mother of two, I knew that the chances for me to go into the classroom were slim to none. I made the decision to return back to school online to Everest University. By the time I started I relocated back to South Carolina to helped out my dad that was sick at the time.
I 'm so glad that my children have decided to go to college, I 'm so proud of them. I 've always wanted to own a boutiqe shop. Now that my children are grown I have time to pick up where I left off. Applying to APUS is the first step of starting this new begining; this new journey and im excited. I have a wonderful family that supports me and gives me that courage I need to continue moving forward and I can 't forget the almighty God.
UW-Eau Claire is an important school to me because of your great educational programs. Through my life I have switched the idea of what I wanted to do plenty of times. However, one idea always remained. I always wanted to be a teacher, and work with kids and be able to shape and work with the next generation of students. This past fall semester I have been taking a college course at UWGB through Bay Port.
I would like to continue my education at Cal State La to pursue my post baccalaureate study and earn a teacher credential in mild to moderate disabilities. Becoming a teacher has always been a goal of mine, since I was young girl. I always known I wanted to become a teacher thanks to all the great teachers I had through my education in elementary and high school, who inspired me and pushed me to work hard because they cared. But, most importantly showed me how a teacher should teach and care for their students, making my experiences in school deeply meaningful. And because of all the great support they gave me I fell in love with the profession of teaching.
I found true happiness by accepting the raw honesty and truth that had become my life, and because of this I found that I loved to learn, I loved to help others in similar/more difficult situations than mine, and that I could do whatever I put my mind to. Everything in my adolecense had been "what ifs" but I knew that I could control my life at school and how I spent my free time. I tried my hardest to take as many Advanced Placement classes at my school because I wanted to take advantage of the fact that I was being given a free education- something that many children in thiis world are not offered. Although, at times I struggled, I absolutely loved my decision because it changed me. AP classes were a different type of dedication not only from students towrds the work, but also from the teachers to the students.
As I am a current student at Sinclair Community college, I have many academic goals. For example, the three top goals for my academic success are to pass all my prerequisite classes, to succeed in achieving the Wright State scholarship for having a 3.0 GPA or above, and finally, my last goal is to allow myself the opportunity to help others in their path to success academically. Not only are there academic goals, I also have my career goals to consider as well. In fact, I have already completed one of my top three career goals as well. For example, my top third career goal was to get a job in the career field I was looking for.
In 2014, around 5.8 million students took part in online education (Friedman). Many students who participate in online education work hard and do their best to learn, but with so many students there is bound to be a few who disrespect the privilege of staying home and working on a computer all day. Some believe that online education is not helpful to students because it does not give them real-world connections, but it can. Many students and teachers find online education helpful because students can take many courses online and the teacher can stay at home, most days, instead of commuting to work.
When I decided to go community college, I knew that I would not be satisfied with only attaining an associate’s degree. It took me ten years to return to school, and I decided that I would make it the best experience of my life. Therefore, I set my goals high: I would work hard and apply to schools that I previously thought might just be a dream. Each school that I have chosen appeals to me for various reasons.
Personal Statement for NQT Year I have been lucky enough to have been taught by some truly inspirational teachers and am aware of the effect they have had on my life and the choices I have made subsequently. My own passion for working with young children extends from my desire to emulate these role models and perform the same inspirational function in the lives of my students. I have always enjoyed being around young people and have supplemented my interests in primary teaching with as much work experience as possible. As a senior in high school, I was asked consecutively about my plans for the future. What are your goals? Are you attending college? What career are you seeking? My answer to this question, was uncertain.
However, it is true that some students might work better in a face-to-face course, and some in an online course. The same agencies that accredit traditional schools also accredit online schools. Some particular online courses have also additional accreditations. Many people wonder whether or not the quality of online education is being affected by the medium that is used, as both education systems have a different approach. According to Michelle Rogers-Estable, who is a distance education and instructional technology specialist, the delivery format does not make a difference in the quality of online learning.
Today, the world has become a digital information age. Humans do lots of things through electronic devices with the internet, including sending e-mails, surfing the internet, and online shopping. Many middle and high school students who live in South Korea study some subjects via online courses. Online learning is becoming a way, which many people are obtaining their degrees. Although there are some advantages of pursuing an online degree; online courses save costs and time and provide many options, the disadvantages surpass the advantages; online education programs have restricted communications with faculty, have limited practical learning, and have low reliability to employers.
On online learning, students will build the interaction with the instructor through out by text, audio, and video. Indeed, online course offering a good deal of students capability to regulate their own time without being controlled by institutions. (Bejerano, A, 2008) .Which means that students do not need to do some activities and have more flexibility of time. However, considering the fact that online learning distance of students to the student society, it can be easily affected on how the students achieve the goals. In specify, for students who take higher education such as undergraduate, graduate, and master via online learning they definitely separated by physical interaction.
