I want to be an Educator, because I believe that it is important to teach and guide the next generation to become more educated and capable of handling the growing and changing of society. I want to be a Special Education Educator, because I believe giving students with disabilities a chance to grow and develop, experience things they never would have experienced at home, and provide them with more possibilities for their future. My role as a teacher is to be a mentor, guide, counselor, leader, example, cheerleader, etc. I know that I am a person that is on the outside of their personal home lives that will be there with continuous love and support. No matter the circumstances, my love for my students will not waiver. I will be a positive role model and example of continuous learning and education. My belief is that students learn best when their personal intelligences are met. I know from experience that not all children learn the same so it is very important that I learn how each and every one of my students learn so I can meet their learning needs. I understand that my goals will change with the individual person. I know as an educator it is also important that I teach my students to set and meet their own goals. This skill is very valuable and will be use throughout their lives. I have two goals that I feel are extremely important and that I will continuously set for all my students every school year. First, I want my students to keep going and never give up. Second, I want them to know there is always a way to get through any problem and trial. I feel it is important that every single student I teach learn their strengths, weaknesses, successes, failures, and to realize their own
