Educational Philosophy Statement

I do not want to become an educator to have Summers or weekends off. I do not want to become an educator because it may seem easy or not as stressful. I do not want to become an educator to be the one in charge of a classroom. I want to become an educator to make a difference in the lives of the students I teach, educators I work with, and even the community I teach within. Ever since I was younger, I wanted to become a teacher, as I always played school with my pupils, imagined what my classroom would look like as well as the type of teacher I would be. It is my objective to create a motivating classroom that will assist students in critical thinking and to become self expressive, inquisitive, and empowered pupils. As a future educator I often think about stimulating questions such as “how is education good for the individual student?”. I believe education focuses on values, attitudes, and behaviors that aid in strengthening students to become further efficient on working on developing their own solutions and determining their own decisions while formulating their thoughts and emotions through a dynamic learning experience. I think it is important for the children's emotional needs to have their parents or guardian's being proactive with the current lessons or activities within the classroom and/or school. Parents participating in parent school groups, reading weekly newsletters, or even helping their child with the homework can help increase the students confidence, and may serve as another supportive role in their lives. Also parent involvement gives the parents in inside look as to what their children are learning, and could implement some of the learned school lessons to the home environment. Since I strongly support parent involvement, I would like to send home a weekly newsletter to update parents about current lesson plans, school activities or meeting, important dates, and even my contact information to establish a parent/teacher
