Educational Philosophy Statement

For me education begins at birth and is timeless. I feel that everyone is able to learn and everyone to teach a new thing from or to others. The purpose of education is to develop the knowledge, skill, or character in students. I want the goals of my students to be difficult to achieve, so that it gives my students a sense of achievement versus having an easy goal that they can accomplish in a hour or a day and that may not be as beneficial. They should have short-term, medium-term, and long terms goals. They should dream and aspire to become and do the best they can be. The educational philosophy that fits my beliefs is the progressive movement. I feel that students should participate in hands-on projects, expeditionary learning, and experiential learning. This philosophy best fits me, because I feel that students work better in groups and learning the materials they would need to be successful …show more content…

This responsibility includes them sending their child or children to school and making sure they are doing what they need to do. The roles that teachers play are a tutor and mentor. They should have ways to teach the students while teaching them what they need to know later on in life. Students play the role of the learners and future teachers to their children; the generation will continue. They should show good examples to the younger kids or to their siblings if, they have any. One of the most important attribute of a good teacher is to be a good communicator. She/he should be comfortable explaining things and enjoy doing the same. A good teacher must have good time management skills and always value the importance of time. In fact, wise utilization of time is the hallmark of a good teacher. A teacher should always adopt a fair attitude, when it comes to making any form of evaluations. He should be fair to his profession and assess students on their performance, instead of personal reports and
