Educational Philosophy Statement

My lifetime goal is to become a teacher for an elementary school. I love kids and would love to work with them. I am already in a program that lets me get the experience that I would need to become a teacher. The program is called PET and I have been in it since last year. I feel in love with it so much that I actually went back and requested the same teacher. The class I had was just an outstanding fourth grade class, as was the teacher Mrs.valentine , my mentor.I never really had an idea of what grade I would teach but I always had this feeling that maybe I should just go first grade, but ever since I got into this program it changed my whole point of view. As a student teacher I felt like for now on that's what I want I know that that's where I have to be . Mrs. Valentine gave me the most experience out of all the other student teachers that were in the program I felt because I really did more than the others and was loving it. I got to do groups with the students , lessons that I made with them , I copied papers , and graded papers. The students really looked up to me like a real teacher and I suppose that boosted my confidence even more.
Its really ironic that I have always wanted to be a teacher because I hated school , it just wasn't for me.I love kids and love working with them , I want to have a good impact on them just like my first grade teacher Mrs.Thesisn from Walzem Elementary school. She is the one who inspired me to become a teacher in the first place. She was just an amazing teacher in every way possible. She was my hero you could say. I didn't like school but I try because I know to become a teacher I have to go through more school , so i'm trying my best that I could.
