Edward Gein Ed Gein was a famous American serial killer accused of the murders of Mary Hogan and Bernice Worden. What led to the violent and criminal acts of Edward Gein was the tragedy of his young life. The death of his family and the social isolation contributed severely to the psychological interference of Ed Gein. Ed’s mother was the primary contributor to his psychopathic actions. Edwards mother, Augusta Gein, was controlling and mentally abusive to her sons. At a young age she taught her children all women were evil excluding herself. With this type of preaching it led to the brainwash of Edward Gein into believing his mother as an angelic type figure. On over 40 accounts he was accused of taking women’s corpses to mutilate their bodies. He would mutilate their bodies to make them into different pieces of furniture, clothing, and silverware. He was also accused of the murders of Marie Hogan and Bernice Worden. The police found Worden’s body hung decapitated, upside down in a shed on the property. Her torso was dressed up as a deer and her head was kept in a burlap bag. Ed carried out both of the murders with a handgun shot to the head, also carried out through the night. Around the house multiple pieces of furniture and clothing were found made out of human skin, faces, noses, skulls, and nipples. These included multiple chair seats made of human skin, lampshades made of human faces, belts made of human nipples, skulls made into bowls, and clothing made out of skin as well as masks. Trophies were also made out of the corpses including skulls on his bedstand, Bernice Worden’s heart in a bag near his stove, and whole human bones. He made clothing out of human skin in attempt to make a suit that resembled his mother. In conclusion, it is clear Ed has gone completely
