Physical activity has a colossal effect on not only children’s physical health and development but on their psychological health also. Sports particularly can have a significantly more prominent impact in these zones of development. Partaking in organized sports can be gainful to children, it helps children develop self-confidence, it teaches teamwork, and it helps health and social skills. Physical activity and sports also constructs health activity habits that energize long lasting interest in physical education. These are all factors this study that play into the role of causes obesity. Many of these problems can be prevented or avoided with the exception of hereditary reason.
Environmental Effects on Obesity The environment plays an important role in factors of, habit development, and progress of the child. A child brought up in a home where the parents are constantly making her aware of how important being healthy is, staying healthy in constantly trying to better herself for the long run. On the other hand, a child living in a neighborhood where the parent’s main concern where the next meal is coming from has a different agenda than the former family which is not worried about where they stand financially. Cases of obesity are mostly related to lifestyle and over eating, first started with the parents of the child. One factor that might have an effect on the child is eating with the family. In some cases, children don’t eat with their families because everybody is doing their own thing, and everyone eats at the time that is convenient to them. Children and adults are adapted to a lifestyle that allows them to have things at their fingertips. This may indeed, be convenient but in the long run it hurts the individual. Children are accustomed to eating fast food instead of going home to a meal that has been thought out for which time has been taken to create. Lifestyles play big roles in the way that children eat and what they eat. If a child is not taught the proper thing to eat then eventually this will become a problem. For example. African American eat great amounts of fried foods. Another thing that African- American have a tendency to reward children with food. We tend to award the kids with food instead of using another factor to reward a child. This is part of the culture so it is something that is hard to break. For example, Johnny graduated from 5th grade; his grandmother wants to cook him much more of food than necessary, instead of just cooking enough food proportions for the established
