The challenge as I interpreted was to create an apparatus that could withstrain a raw egg from cracking. The thought process for the challenge was very simple, to be able to withstrain the egg from cracking. Luckily for me I have had experience doing this project successfully but the first egg drop challenge that I experienced took me a long time. It was a sleeping bag that had a box that had a parachute attached with a jar of peanut butter with the egg inside. So, my initial design would technically be the same as I suggested to myself but I wanted to do something that was simple and effective. During my first test I remembered one of my friends using popcorn in a big cardboard box. I wondered how this worked so I decided to try out this specific design in a smaller more effective way and it worked. My motto of “Simple but effective” came into life and as I created the apparatus the first initial trials were done successfully and proved that my egg wouldn’t brake. The materials I used to create my apparatus: Cardboard Box Popcorn Rice Paper Scissors Tape Glue Egg My initial designed had many flaws but …show more content…

The law of action reaction. The action of the object was at rest while it was in my palm but when I released the object it’s reaction to that initial action was it being pushed down by gravity because there was no force being pushed up against it. The action of releasing the object was letting the force of gravity pull it downwards while I held it up putting force back but when I released the object free falled towards the ground as a reaction to my holding of the the object the force I applied to hold it up was released and the equal and opposite force of my object free falls downwards. But instead the same force that was holding up was now being forced on it downwards which the object accelerate rapidly downwards because how I let go of my
