Truly, there are many amendments that make up the United States Constitution. Therefore, it is said that all citizens have to follow the classification of each amendment. Just so happens the eighth amendment is one that is very special for many reasons. Truly, the eighth amendment expresses many things about no cruel and unusual punishments. To start, many people are in favor of having cruel and unusual punishments, and excessive bail for individuals. They believe that if a man or woman create a big enough crime like murder than they should not be able to be let away easily. In the beginning, there are some people that are not guilty that get punished. Even though most of the time a crime is committed the person found guilty usually did it, there is a chance it could be an innocent individual who gets a cruel and unusual punishment. Or pay excessive bail to get out of what they are committed of. To add to that, in the olden days this happened all the time. People were found guilty of a crime, and they had no say in anything, there was no trial he or she was convicted of the crime right away and killed. Even if they were innocent, and that is one reason this came into the United States Constitution. There are many opinions on the topic and ways it adheres to the constitution. Like stated before, it is unfair to kill or brutally injure a individual because they committed one crime or multiple crimes. They have rights and liberties as stated in the constitution, found in the eighth amendment. Those stated in the constitution state that; Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted on an individual's rights.
