In the feature article “Effective electrical safety starts with maintenance” the author, Dave Kreger, Claims that in order to avoid electrical accidents, a person must be specially trained in that area and he or she must follow the “National Fire Protection Association's Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace (NFPA 70E)”. This article also suggests that facility managers must conduct maintenance on electrical equipment and the facility manager must also document those activities. The person who does maintenance on electrical equipment must have the training and the knowledge to do that type of work because is not all about the equipment but about the person doing the job.
