I also found that Scrooge is the same Christmas hater in the book and in the movie. Scrooge is visited by the same three spirits in the movie and book. You can’t forget that runs a business in both the movie and the book. Some differences that I found is that in the book, the first spirit had the cap under its arm, while in the movie, the cap was in its hand. Another difference I found is that in the movie, in the scene where Scrooge is taken to the past to see a boy abandoned by his friends and alone in the school reading, Scrooge didn’t weep for him.
They both feature a man who hated christmas and later found the value of christmas. In “A Christmas Carol” Ebenezer Scrooge, a grumpy old man who only cares about money gets visited by a ghost of his business partner to help Scrooge enjoy Christmas(O'connor). From the visit of his business partner and other Christmas Ghost with him, Scrooge find for the first time in his life Friends and family to celebrate Christmas with. Second of all the Grinch discover the act of giving from Scrooge. In the movie the Scrooge started to help out the less unfortunate with his money.
Synopsis: The movie that will be used for this film review is the movie directed by Jon Favreau, Elf (2003). This is a Christmas film which follows a man who was raised by elves to 30 years of age with no human contact who then finds himself traveling to the city of New York in hopes to find his long-lost father. The human elf, Buddy, was accidentally sent to the North Pole as a baby upon crawling into Santa’s Christmas sack while he was delivering presents to the orphanage one year where Buddy once lived. This, in turn, resulted in him being taken to the North Pole where he was then raised amongst Santa and his helpers from an infant.
The second story is called How the Grinch Stole Christmas. It has to do with a “Who” who is very mean, and the whole town, except one girl, hates him. It is very similar to A Christmas Carol, when it comes to the main character. Both of their societies sort of reject them, and they are very nasty people.
This allowed “The Grinch” to become the second highest-grossing holiday film of all time just behind the well-known film “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York”. It went on to win an Academy Award for Best Makeup and was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture in regards to Jim

A Christmas Miracle! In his novella “ A Christmas Carol,” Charles Dickens illustrates the transformation of an ill-mannered man as he is visited by three spirits who are affiliated with three different periods of time; the spirits are introduced as the Ghost of Christmas Past, Present and Yet To Come. Upon reaching home, the novella begins, Ebenezer Scrooge is met with the spirit of his late business partner, Jacob Marley, who warns him about the visits of three spirits. On the first night at 1:00 a.m, Scrooge is visited by the Ghost of Christmas Past who takes him to past Christmas events that happen in Scrooge’s life.
A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens, tells the story of a miser who is visited by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present, Christmas Future and learns valuable lessons from each of them. Ebenezer Scrooge is initially portrayed as a grumpy man who only thinks of money and himself. Scrooge is full of hate for those beneath him and takes pride in his wealth. After being visited by the three Ghosts, Ebenezer turns his life around and becomes full of charity, humility, and detachment of money and possessions. Ebenezer Scrooge learns valuable lessons from the Ghosts, changes his ways, and becomes a more virtuous person.
You may often come across the Christmas Carol story in many different forms but the play and movie are the most common. Say for example, the play written by Charles Dickens. This play takes place in various places in the city of London. The Christmas Carol play comes to life on Christmas Eve in the winter of 1843.(Dickens, 1) Ebenezer Scrooge is the main character who has absolutely no respect for Christmas at all. Matter of fact, he despises this merry holiday which is called to be the conflict of the play but Bob Cratchit, who works for him, is just filled with the thought of it.
