You Do You and I’ll Do Me Lana Del Rey killed at the age of 3. She shone during her audition at her community theater’s production of “Annie”. She was a true performer at such a young age. Unfortunately her life did not continue to be as sweet as pie. She became an alcoholic at the age of 15. Her parents decided to send her to a boarding school for three years hoping to get their child back. Years later, she attended Fordham University and studied metaphysics. The reason she decided to study science is to “find a gap between God and science.” From this moment, the young Lana faded into what would become one of many controversial artists today. An inspirational woman does exactly what she wants and does everything they can to realize their dream. In an interview, Lana describes her songwriting, “I want one of two things, I either want to tell it exactly like the way it was, or I want envision the future the way I hope it will become. I’m either documenting something or I’m dreaming.” Songs like ‘Born to Die’ and ‘Money, Power, Glory’ have puzzled many by describing what exactly she want with bits and pieces of deep sarcasm. Despite criticism, people adore her love-wrenching twists on taboo topics. She doesn’t allow criticism to change the way she is. She uses that as a way to get her to what she needs. The inspiration to people here is that you might be told repetitively that you are not meant for this or that. All you can do is be who you are and continue doing what you feel needs to be done. Lana is the definition of a true hero. She is an inspirational woman because she loves what she does. Writing music is what changed her life around.
