Elon Musk is known as a “serial entrepreneur” (encyclopedia). He has made many accomplishments in his 46 years of living. Creating and funding multiple companies, winning many awards, and becoming a multi millionaire by the age of 27 (Vance). He couldn’t have accomplished this much without his hunger for a better future. Growing up from a shy boy from South Africa to becoming a billionaire Elon Musk had kept his influences to his core values in all his companies.

Elon Musk was in born Pretoria South Africa, on June 28, 1971. He grew up with his brother and sister, Kimbal and Tosca (Vance). Musk had a bad childhood. He was bullied in school and didn’t have very good father figure (Vance). His parents divorced early on in musk childhood. Elon musk was a very intelligent child (Vance). He spent a lots of time at the library reading science fiction novels and comics for hours. Eventually Musk ran out books to read and started to read through encyclopedias. Not only was he bullied but he also felt like he was not challenged enough (Vance). He would daydream of things in class instead of paying attention, and when he did pay attention he would ace his exams. When Musk was 17 he moved to Canada to go to university there and also partly to avoid having to join the South African military (newsmakers). He went the Queens School of Business in Kingston in Canada (Vance). He liked university much better than his early schooling years. In 1992, Musk transferred to the university of Pennsylvania because he had gotten a scholarship. He made money on the side by hosting parties (newsmakers). He then moved on to Stanford University to study physics, but dropped out after a few days (newsmakers). During his college days Musk landed multiple internships. His internships included one at the bank of Nova Scotia, Microsoft’s marketing department, and interned as a programmer
