Elvis Aaron Presley (January 8 1935 – August 16 1977) is one of the most famous and prolific singers and actors in history. His career spanned just 13 years, but enough to have an unimaginable impact on popular culture and American society at large.

Elvis and his family later relocated to Memphis Tennessee when Presley was just a 13-year-old boy. Presley lived in a two-room shotgun house that his father built.
