Elvis Aaron Presley (January 8 1935 – August 16 1977) is one of the most famous and prolific singers and actors in history. His career spanned just 13 years, but enough to have an unimaginable impact on popular culture and American society at large.
Elvis Presley was known as the King of Rock and Roll and is still praised decades later. He is regarded as one of the most significant cultural figures of the 20th century. His energized interpretations of songs and sexually provocative performance style combined with a singularly potent mix of influences across colour lines during a transformative era in race relations led him to both great successes though his performative style inspired by African American music was a big hit it led to him being widely considered a threat to the mental health of the White American youth.
