Everyone belongs to a social class. Whatever reality you been born in, is going to shape the way you believe and act. Each individual is different and unique, however, is not unknown that the experiences we had over our life shape our identity. In the movie Elysium, the Earth has been contaminated. The rich people flew away to a new land created in the space named Elysium, which left those with less money behind. In the movie, the rich and the poor are categorized very explicitly. The wealthy live their best lives in a complete new and better environment. The poor are left on a noxious earth to fight for their lives every day. The main characters of the story try to make it to Elysium to save their lives before it is too late. Personalities in each social class shows to have a completely different way to think and act. While, poor people seems to show more empathy for others, rich people are presented as indifferent and more self-interest. Besides, rich people who live in a more secure environment behaves calmly and unaware of the behaviors of other, whereas poor people pay more attention to others and are more alert constantly. By analyzing the movie Elysium, we will collect evidence to show how the social class of a person might affect its behavior and how this may affect them and others. The lack …show more content…

This could be explained by saying rich people are more focus on their own goals and desires while poor people have a sensitive mirror neuron system. Likewise, poor people are more focus and capable of recognize danger or what other people might do next when rich people usually do not focus on others at all. This could be explained by saying that the wealthy because they have grown in a financial secure environment they simply do not pay attention to others. They do not do it or they do not recognize the cues because are not adapt to recognize the cues. Both theories could explain and complement each
