After reading and reviewing many online articles it came to my attention that The Emancipation Proclamation was a very important issue in the 1800s. To be honest I knew very little about it all I knew is what I was told in high school. Meanwhile I read an article called the Emancipation Proclamation that gave me plenty knowledge about this topic. I found that the Emancipation Proclamation was important because it was issues by President Lincoln as an attempt to free slaves. However this goes into more depth than just freeing slaves. As stated in this article the history staff stated that (“The Emancipation Proclamation was issued to allow all slaves in the rebellious states shall be then, thenceforward, and forever free”) history. However the war also change for the better. It gave induvial that are black the equal opportunity to vote and etc. This would have never happened if the fight for freedom didn’t take place. Now I am going to talk a little about the 13th Amendment of the U.S Constitution and tell why it was important. The Thirteenth Amendment history staff states (“Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicticted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction”)history. The 14th Amendment was important because if played the most major factor on our society it gave each individual equality. The 14th Amendment allowed us to take this to the future and our children’s future and will forever and always live in this society even after we are long gone. To come to my conclusion I will recap some of my final thoughts about the above. First I do agree with some of the things that President Lincoln did I also love the fact he issues the Emancipation Proclamation. I do agree that a start needed to be made in reference to our slave’s freedom. From what I was told from my grandmothers it was hard going out working and doing as you were told and they were born in the 1900’s. I can only imagine what their parents and grandparents had to deal with in the 1800’s. I know life had to be very hard generations before we was even thought of. Therefore when the Emancipation Proclamation was issued it was a blessing for many slaves. It was a chance for them to finally live a free kind of normal life as much as possible. When we discuss the 13th Amendment it makes me free good to know that all slaves are free. To me no one should have ever been slaves in the first
