Emma Kate was your average 17 year old girl. She went to school like 17 year old do. She liked going shopping and hang out with her friends. Most people who looked at Emma would think that she had a perfect life. Some people even wish that they could have her life. Little did they know Emma life was far from perfect. People said that she looked like a boy and called her anorexic. One day, she told everyone that she had cancer but that didn't really help because everyone started to treat her like she had some type of disease and if they would go near her the would get the disease. This did not stop Emma from talking to people. She would talk to people and some people would talk back but most just walked away as if she did not have the right to talk to them. Emma had only two friends no one else would talk to her. She still stayed positive; she did not let what people think about her effect her. Sometime Emma’s friends would ask her how she deals with everyone talking about her like they did. Emma just would tell them me getting upset would not change anything. High school came along and Emma was still cancer free. She was looking a little bit more “normal” now and a little bit more people were talking to her know. She was not the “disease girl” anymore in people's eyes; so ninth grade was easier for her. Throughout the year more and more people talk to her by the end of ninth almost everyone would talk to her. At the age 15, Emma was back to how she was before she got cancer. She at a healthy weight, everyone love Emma. People looked at Emma as a person just like them and not as a cancer patient.
