I stared out over the sound but couldn't see anything because there was a storm rolling into the city and even from this distance I could see it was going to be a downpour. Shaking my head, I knew it was going to soak me, though, no matter what I did. “Ah the city still looks the same as I remember Gary, only wish I could have brought you, Earl, and Alex.” I sighed internally. I looked back into my cabin on the port side of the ship and remembered getting back on the ship nearly two weeks ago. The echoes of horns of other ships echoed across the sound with an almost haunting harmony. “Or better yet, why hasn't it changed in a decade since I left this place” I thought as if to one up myself. I heard a knock at the door from the steward saying that my bags will bring ashore once they get through customs and if we're to be so kind as to leave my bag on the bed it would all be taken care of. I smiled and shook my head as I walked away seeing that I got room 278, the room I spent the night in before I left this evil city for a better life. I took the stairs as I did not feel like waiting for the elevator and I could use the exercise after that long trip. As I climbed I saw that the stairs were worse than the lobby as there was chunks of plaster missing and the walls sometimes had differing color. I hurried along to my room and got out the key to open
