In Ender’s Game, a science fiction novel by Orson Scott Card, about a boy who is born to save the Earth, (Andrew) Ender Widgeon is born as a “Third” in the future where only two children are allowed per family. His siblings are Valentine and Peter. Ender’s Game, provides a unique, interesting view on post-invaded Earth. Logic is vital, in social survival. In every situation its not how large the problem is, its the technique you use to solve it. Compassion is the key to understanding other peoples perspectives. Firstly, Enders technique is demonstrated to be successful in the act of shooting. Ender accepts a suicide mission from Rose to prove his worth and freezes enough people to ensure a win for for his team and his army (Card 105). This demonstrates technique, because Ender is able lead his team without help from other troops, outsmarting Rose. Also, Enders technique is so successful that his reputation is valued, and he is promoted. Ender leads the soldier prized efficiency list, even though he had not taken a single shot (Card 91). He is the platoon leader for the Phoenix Army (Card 139). Ender’s technique is so strong that without putting any effort, his reputation has already put him on top. Finally, Enders technique is successful when demolishing difficulties is proven when he defeats Bonzo in the showers. With classic technique, Ender acts if he was scared of Bonzo, and pleads for him not to hurt him. Bonzo takes the bait, but little does he know that he is extremely slippery, and covered in soap and Ender has tricks up his sleeve (Card 211).
