Have you ever met a person who could kill you and also be very kind to you. The book Ender's game by Orson Scott Card is about A boy named Ender who must go and erase an alien species but he doesn't know that. The theme of this book is to not let yourself be a part of someone else's game because Ender wants to end the game that he has been put in. The main plot of Ender's game is that Ender gets recruited to command school and has to train to be ready to fight the buggers because he is the only person who shows enough intelligence and strength to handle the task. Ender goes through many challenges and then graduates to command school and learns to command fleets using a simulator. He never let Ender be a normal person at command school. He was forced to do things by Graff, such as not letting him email his sister, he got singled out by Graff, he was put into an army before he should have been, he got to be a commander before he should have, when he was in battles he was put against unimaginable odds. Then when he went to command school he was unknowingly fighting and killing buggers when he was tolled it was a simulator. All throughout the book Ender was being used. “Think of every stacked, impossible, unfair star arrangement you can. Think of other ways to bend the bend the rules,” (pg 97). This portion of text is proof of trying to stack the odds against Ender. The only reason that Graff has to do all this is because they have to get Ender ready for command school. In the process Graff almost broke Ender. After his final battle he was done and he even said that. “ I don't care about the game anymore, Bean. I'm not going to play it anymore,” (pg 221). Ender was done. The only reason that he continued was because Graff told Valentine to convince Ender to go to command school. Ender was almost free of Graffs grasp but, because Valentine was told to get Ender to go to command school he got pulled back in. All the time in Ender's life he tries to beat the games that are thrown at him but Graff and Anderson make it harder
