Inventions and creations that have improved the lives of the people living on the planet exponentially. Things like dams, nuclear power plants, and the ability to make huge amounts of resource and nutrients, so that the people may eat and live healthily. Even with the the vast magnitude of things and ideas that engineers and people can make,with the abuse of ethics and regulations , and with the irresponsible disregard of those ethics and regulations that govern the engineers, and those that build the general populace for the safety of the society whether local or global it endangers that society. Clear and unquestionable examples of this, would be the catastrophes of the chernobyl nuclear reactor explosion, and the Boston Molasses disaster. Through the disregard of ethics and morals, those engineers and inventors endangered the well being of others through negligence and sheer irresponsibility. Those catastrophes and the catastrophes of the future are preventable to the utmost degree through the following of ethics and regulations. The regulations that are put in place with engineers and inventors, are standards that are in place with a great margin of error so that even if there are unaccountable variables that do occur and happen, which is a completely realistic idea.
