(MIP) I believe that English honors (9H) will be a suitable level for me. (SIP-1) I would like to have the opportunity to take a risk and pursue my favorite subject, English. (STEWE-1) As seen, over this year I have grown academically. Not only has this been an impact of learning, It also was due to my passion and interest in English. Last year I did not enjoy this subject, and my grades were not the best either. Later on that year, my curiosity for writing and reading had grown. This essay helped me understand myself. It gave me the time to focus on my thoughts. English not only helps me with grammar, structure, and comprehension skills, but it also helps me reflect upon real-life problems. This is something I enjoy doing, I find researching topics and writing about them fascinating. The only subject that allows me to accomplish this hobby is English. (SIP-2) Being in honors will help me to get out of my comfort zone and it will allow me to offer a thorough insight into discussions. (STEWE-1) As seen, at the beginning of the year, I was nervous to speak in discussions. Mainly because I was scared to be incorrect. However, now I can speak and give judgment from another perspective. English has allowed me to take a risk and get out of my comfort zone. Not only have I started to participate in class discussions, but I also have been trying advanced topics and perceiving them in ways that I have never done before. During discussions and shared preparation sheets, I make sure to speak and explain my thoughts. (SIP-3) I make sure to pace myself and have learned to balance my academics with my social life, mental health, and extracurricular activities. (STEWE-1) Over this year, I have realized that school should not take up all my time. I started to give myself an exact time to finish homework. When I have extra time, I even get ahead on my work. I give myself a good amount of time to finish and this limits the amount of stress I feel from school. Some days may be harder than others, but I make sure to take breaks while doing homework. This eliminates the distractions that I may encounter. (STEWE-2) When I am absent from school, I make sure that my work is done for the day. I do not procrastinate and I complete my assignments on time. This past year, I missed one assignment and I made sure to get it done during lunch. Furthermore, in class, I make sure that my work is complete, and if it is not I complete it for homework. I prioritize getting my work done in an efficient and timely manner, not only in school but, at home too. (CS) I believe that English honors (9H) is a fitting level selection for
