Throughout this last semester in English, was a great but tough semester for me. I learned a lot more on becoming a writer. I still struggled with getting off my thesis statement and adding to much of other off topic information. I can say I have truly found out how to revise my essay. I also learned how to go back and explain why I say what I say in my papers. Ms. Emily being my English teacher helped a lot by giving me comments and feedbacks on my paper. This semester papers were a little harder because they had a lot more things that had to be in them. The papers this semester included examples of the information, your opinion, and also the reason why you used the example. But through the toughness of the papers I’ve learned how to become a better writer and actually know what I’m talking about. We did papers in class to get feedback and comments from Ms. Emily. I love the method we had to do the rough draft and bring it to class to get reviewed before the actual paper is due. I love the class discussions we had in class, if we didn’t understand how to do something. I learned more from that, because questions my classmates asked were one of my questions. I’ve learned more on how to elaborate on my examples and fix my papers the correct way. I also learned from my comments how to redo my revision correctly. I went to most conferences that I could go to before I revised my papers. I was striving to become a good writer. I wanted my papers to be great and efficient enough. I redid all my papers so I could know exactly what I did wrong. Redoing all my revisions helped me become a better writer along with Ms. Emily comments. I learned my mistakes and my wrongs in my papers. The feedbacks from Ms. Emily helped me out a lot because I knew what to do in my revisions.
