The Colonial Virginia started with its first permanent English settlement that was established in 1607 and known as James Town. The first settlers that settled in this community consisted of 104 males that landed in Virginia by 1608, but then by the time the reinforcements came only 38 of them were left. This trend continued for some time and was due to the lack of food, support system, water, provisions, shelter, and no infrastructure within the city that caused raw sewage within its territory along with the plague of diseases.
