Discuses about how in the past decades, the boom of traditional internal combustion vehicles was adequate due to the low cost and abundance of oil. It was not known the high environmental pollution that was generated by burning fossil fuels. Being that Carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides (NOx), Sulphur oxide (SOx) and carbon monoxide emission are present in the emissions of internal combustion causing a big problem of air pollution. Although the auto companies have tried to reduce hazardous chemicals produced by …show more content…

Unlike combustion engines, electric cars do not waste much energy it is approximately three times more efficient with the capacity to convert 59-62 per cent into energy to move a car. When electrical Vehicles are recharged with renewable energy there is no emission of contaminants or dangerous chemicals. However, if the electricity is generated from sources such as coal or gas there is not a large decrease of environmental pollution. The biggest issue that is facing the use of electric vehicles is the shortage of infrastructure to charge their batteries. For consumers can be a problem having to recharge their vehicles for an extended period although the vehicles have a range of 100 miles, they need to be recharged when approaching almost 48. While big corporation does not invest in infrastructure to make more available the charge of the batteries of electric cars will be tough that consumers prefer to use this type of vehicles on a large scale. The initial solution to the problem is to prolong the time of the battery and the reduction of time required to recharge it. Tesla, one of the leaders in technology, were able to increase the duration of their batteries up to 250 miles and reduce the recharge time to about 30 minutes.
