In all instance we all know that global warming has been a big issue that has effects on the environment, people, and the world, and if not stopped now, the result could be catastrophic. The Philippines is one of the world’s disastrous place. Volcanic eruptions, typhoons, floods, earthquake, and droughts were natural hazards that occurred with such frequency that they have helped shape filipino society. Not responding is the problem about how people respond to Climate change or Global warming. There are solutions but no actions. Environmental law has five types: the congressional statutes, presidential decrees, executive orders, administrative orders, and ordinances. examples were: in 1977 that was issued by President Marcos was the presidential decree no. 1151, creating an environment impact statement system. Followed by establishment of national parks to protect native plants and animals called National Integrated Protected Areas System Act in 1992. While in 1975, the presidential decree no. 705 was issued in order to control use of forest land consistent with the country’s development goals and public welfare. President Aquino in 1988 signed Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Law into law for the purpose to redistribute the country’s agricultural lands. Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act to protect wildlife species and they habitants, to regulate wildlife trade, and encourage scientific research on biodiversity that was passed by congress in 2000. Last two were Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000 and Philippine Fisheries Code of 1998. In order to cater to natural resources conservation according to the controls imposed by colonial powers they used environmental policies. In fact there were also International Environmental treaties. The Stockholm Declaration of the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment in 1972, Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Flora and Fauna in 1973, Vienna Convention on the Protection of the Ozone Layer 1987, Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer 1987 , Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and their Disposal in 1989, Rio de Janeiro Declaration on Environment and Development Agenda 21 in 1992, Kyoto Protocol to Global Climate change convention in 1998 and Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants in 2001.
