A Hero's Journey thru Life
Throughout life there will be many challenges that will present themselves some of them will be caused by someone else but others will be caused by yourself. Some people will call these people Foes or Anti-Heros. They can range from a monster called Grendel to just a teacher at your high school or just earning the high school diploma. The “Hero” will need to overcome the foe in whatever way they chose.
For a high school student there are many foes that one might need to overcome, one of them is graduating high school. To prepare for graduating high school a high schooler would have needed to work hard throughout the student's entire schooling career. This includes working hard on all of the work that is given

This quote is saying how men “students” need to work hard to complete what they are trying to do. The boat that Beowulf talks about would be the school sense he sits with the other men until they complete their journey.
In Beowulf after the first challenge is completed another one is brought into the light. As soon as Beowulf kills Grendel, Grendel's mother shows up and is very mad because her son is how dead. "I have wrested the hilt from the enemies' hand, avenged the evil done to the Danes; it is what was due" (1668-1670). This relates to a student's life because as soon a the student finishes high school there is another mountain they need to climb and it's called college.
After college or defeating Grendel’s mother it might seem like all of the difficulties are over and the student or Beowulf can relax but there will always be something that will get in their way. For the student it might be getting a job or finding an apartment but for Beowulf it happened to be a
