Equality In All In Kurt Vonnegut's Harrison Bergeron

I feel that the theme of the story "Harrison Bergeron" by Kurt Vonnegut is equality in all. Even in the first sentence it says "Everybody is finally equal". Then in the third paragraph it talks about how George has to wear a government transmitter to make him think the same way as everybody else. People have to cover their faces because they are too "pretty". People have to wear glasses so they can't see the way they are supposed to. Even when they talk about being able to disable the disabilities they still don't for the fact of getting caught. It's to the point where nobody can be unique in any way. Therefore, there is no competition between anyone. So for the theme to be equality in all is a world that Kurt Vonnegut is wanting to show to
