From the first time I sat on a horse, 12 years ago; I have always wanted horses to play a big part in my life. I believe studying Equine Science, will enable me to carry on my ambition of being and working with horses. This course will allow me to develop a further and deeper understanding of the industries connected to equines, allowing me to set up a future with them as I am greatly interested in the physiology of equines, types of therapy and natural horsemanship. By studying sports psychology in year 13, it has allowed me to have greater understanding of motivation in sport; which I can transfer my knowledge into rider coaching. During my own time I also arranged work experience at the Wild Life trust in Logger Heads. During that week I went to numerous places in North Wales and looked at land management options and ways to preserve the wildlife and bring communities together to help maintain the conservation. This gave me valuable experience in time management, responsibility and team work. After work experience, I chose to carry on volunteering there and was included in the management of St Winefride’s Well and the management of Rhes-Y-Cae’s grave yard. I had a summer job for two and a half years at Fron Farm Caravan and Camping park. I mainly helped out at the farm and livery yard. My jobs included looking after pigs, goats and chickens; making sure all where fed and mucked out. I had to prepare up to 6 horses for pony rides for the campers and also look after the farms personal horses. I also worked in the small shop at the farm and was responsible for taking phone calls and any issues on the campsite. This made me responsible for caring for the animals and making sure the camp site ran
