Ernest Hemingway is one of the most well-known writers in the world today. His most famous novel is “The Sun Also Rises”. Ernest Hemingway was known for writing non-fiction books. He wrote at least thirty books in his lifetime. Ernest Hemingway’s novels are filled with experiences and background information from the real-life experiences he lived in war and peacetime all over the world. Ernest Hemingway was born on July 21, 1899 in Oak Park, Illinois(source #2). He attended Oak Park and River Forest High School. After graduating high school they were drafting people for the war going on at the time which was WW1. The author had a family and his dad was a well-known physician. Ernest Hemingway was kind of born into wealthiness. Before, Ernest Hemingway was a writer, he was an ambulance driver during WW1. He went into the war field to save lives. He was a part of the Red Cross which was the ambulance program for the war. When Ernest Hemingway was younger he liked boxing and wrestling. In his lifetime, he earned the nickname “PaPa” Hemingway for being a people person(source #2). Ernest Hemingway’s novels and stories reflect the events of his life. He was well-known for disguising his real-life events with fiction. Ernest Hemingway’s first novel was wrote in 1926 called “The Tornents of Spring”.
