Arguably the death is inevitable for all. There is no way to know when we will die and certainly no one wants to die, at least not in general terms. But what leads a person to wanting to finish with his/her life. which is the limit of suffering or which might be some possible reasons to consider suicide to be the only way out?. For Hemingway, the death is one of the topics that appears, not in all, but almost all his stories. Probably, the root of this topic is in the suicide of his father in 1928, which affected him deeply. “Fathers and Sons” is the final story Hemingway wrote. Is semi-autobiographical story in which Hemingway protagonist Nick Adams. There are aspects of Hemingway’s own life, including his father’s suicide. In this quote the reader can get the sense that the author (Nick Adams) find the memories of his father disagreeables and unpleasant. Although he has said he loved his father in a determined moment what happened after made this feeling disappear. He wants to free himself of all the memories of his father because there are not good. Nick concludes admitting that he would rather not think of his father because even good times they had together are unpleasant to him after “things had gone
