“The American dream comes from opportunity. The opportunity comes from our founding principles, our core values that's held together and protected by the Constitution. Those ideas are neither Republican, Democrat, conservative, liberal, white, or black. Those are American ideologies,” (Ted Yoho, US state representative). The Idea of core values can be troubling and can be a point of confusion; core values make us human, it is our basic need out of life, it is in our genes. The reason it can be troubling is it can sometimes be hard to describe what our true core values are in life, we feel emotions, but it can be hard to write or portrait those emotions or our thoughts to others. Which is why I have written about this, I don’t know my true core values. I have a rough idea, but how do you describe the warmth of the sun or the cool breeze of the wind to someone who hasn’t felt it? You can’t. This is the same with our own core values, they’re our own. If you dive in the philosophy that is Taoism we see this parallel in many things, we can make many connections. One of which is the fact that the parallel we see between oneself and love. Taoist tell many people that in order to find love they must find a natural balance in themselves, they tell people that you must trust yourself and find owns true nature and that will allow you to love. We also see parallels in the relationship between natural order and finding love.
