How do you plan to live a good life, have an excellent job with a good job? According to most high school administration officials, college is the only way. However, there are others who argue against going to college straight after high school because of financial reasons or if students are not sure about their plans. College is the best way to ensure a pleasant future. However, a student should only go to college if they know what they know what to do since school is expensive, time-consuming, and there are other viable options. College costs money, and it is a lot of money. According to College Board, the average cost of tuition and fees for the 2016-2017 year was $33,480. (Collegedata) Some grants and scholarships are available for students. Also, students with financial need can apply for the FAFSA and get money from the government. The military also offers opportunities for kids to join and save up money before starting college. (Study.com) There is money for college students but it’s not enough. Most careers that require a college degree will ask for a bachelor degree. A bachelor degree takes four years. It is arguable that this time is worth it because “college graduation correlates positively with economic factors.” (The Choice) Also during this time, a student can begin to build their networking skills and meet new people who have similar goals in life. This can encourage students to do better and not fall behind. College students who aren’t sure about their career goals don’t have all the time in the world. Some programs offered in a college have a deadline to apply or get accepted into. If students don’t have the money nor want to spend the time wasting their money, there are other
