THE TRUE STORY : Nick is known for interrupting the class in third and fourth grade. He has always gotten away with it until he has Mrs. Granger a 5th grade Language Arts teacher. Mrs. Granger is one of the strictest and most humorous teachers in the school. She loves dictionaries more than other teachers. Nick tries to test Mrs. Granger patience. When Mrs. Granger talks about the dictionary, Nick starts to make an idea off of what Mrs. Granger said in one of her classes. It was the perfect idea a word called Frindle. Calling something normal with a new name like calling a pen a frindle. Nick starts to use the word and now most of the school starts using the word too. It gets out of hand. Mrs. Granger cannot take any more of the frindle business so she forbids it. Chaos starts to rumble and a journalist wants to get to know more about frindle and Nick. Nick is invited to a TV show. The show is a success and frindle are now being sold everywhere and Nick gets 30% of the profit. When Nick gets older he gets the profits from the frindle products that his dad had. Nick becomes rich off of frindles and gives a million dollars to his old Elementary school. Nick’s other ideas worked out. He also gets his word in the dictionary. She knocked on the door as hard as she could “bang bang bang”. It was about 6 am so nick had no possible way of knowing who was at the door. He slowly walked over to the door and gently opened it. He was still in his robe and not presentable. Nick had a tiny cup of coffee and right when he opened the door Mrs. Granger hugged him very tightly that the coffee spilled on nick and Mrs. Granger’s clothes. Mrs. Granger didn’t seem to mind all she said was” thank you “and turned around. walked to her old rusty blue car and drove away. nick was not that confused because he knew what Mrs. Granger was talking
