I am a graduating senior in the Mass Communications department at The Lincoln University. I intend to pursue a career in Higher Education, in my undergraduate duration, I have developed my verbal, digital and technical communication abilities. My first experience with meeting prospective students and representing my University was in my first semester at Lincoln during Fall Open House. From that moment I knew I had a passion for volunteer work, community service and mentorship. Upon completing graduate school, I hope to hold a position in Administration at a University.
I came to college as an undecided major with no direction or understanding of what I wanted to study. I enjoyed talking to others and learning the historical value of my institution. I was one of 25 students chosen to leave a lasting impact on the Class of 2020. Monthly I hold meetings and organize events for my 30 students. The events held included study session, time management workshops and academic mentor check-ins. I have developed personable relationships with each of my students. With my open door policy many of them consider our relationship as one of an older sibling. My students have joined student run organizations, hold executive board positions and some are creating their own organizations leaving their mark on Lincoln University’s campus. Aside from my responsibilities as a Student Leader Ambassador I continue to Volunteer in the office of Student Life and Development. We host movie nights, community service projects and academic support services. I assist with the organization of the events by reserving venues and
