Ever since I have moved to Michigan, I have always wanted to attend the University of Michigan. As a fourth grader, it was merely an aspiration and a source of motivation to try my best and delineate good work ethic as a student. But my desires to attend the University of Michigan became more strongly defined. Our family had quite a few opportunities to visit Ann Arbor starting last November because of my dad’s job. The small church that my dad had been invited to preach in was located only a few minutes away from the campus of University of Michigan. I was able to visit the university a few times, and shuffle by the spirited students of the school in the streets of downtown Ann Arbor. Ranked as one of the top 25 schools worldwide, it would be a privilege to study under amazing professors and faculty members and be a part of research projects offered at the university. Learning in a classroom offers endless amount of interesting information, but because my passion for biochemical research stretches far out, I yearn to extend what I learn outside of the classroom and be able to apply it by participating in research projects offered at Michigan. As a participant of an internship this past summer, I was able to experience the depths of which research can take you. Though I only caught a glimpse of it feels like, the depths of knowledge and curiosity in which you dwell in to ponder for answers that only leads to more questions, is indescribably enthralling. And the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program at Michigan, offers an innumerable amount of research topics and opportunities, in which I yearn to participate in. Research projects like studying roles of specific cells, or how cells react and function to specific chemicals, all general topics which other undergraduates of the University of Michigan have
