I am an achievement-oriented professional with the 12+ years of extensive background in higher education, nonprofit, healthcare, and pharmaceutical industries. U of I is my Alma Mater. With great pride and gratitude, I called Urbana-Champaign as my home for over 15 years. The community played an important role every achievement I experience today. When a friend recommended me to apply for the iMBA program, I immediately started the application.
Online learning is not new to me as I completed the online master degree program in Management Information System from UIS while working full time. My background also includes working at Carle Foundation Hospital where I led a campaign to save $10,000,000, and Veterinary Medical Databases as Manager of IT Services where I supervised the entire IT infrastructure, software developers, and IT projects. While in this position I supervised outsourced software developers on a project resulting in $50K savings. Overall, I was responsible for directing the company’s technology outlook.
In addition, I served as a trusted advisor, technology evangelist, and process improvement champion for the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Environment Health and Safety, the Graduate College, and Technology Services at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. While I was at U of I, directing a team of 20 IT professional, we created a new business model by using crowdsourcing methodology. People say that I am like a conductor who brings out hidden, creates talented teams, and induces enthusiasm into the teams.
