Please identify your chosen major and explain why you chose this field? * When I first entered college, I didn’t know what I wanted my career to be. Although after completing a psychology course with Dr. Francine Rosselli-Navarra, I was greatly influenced to realize I didn’t just want to study biology, but also psychology. She had taught me that psychology is a science that studies thoughts and behavior, so when I combined biology and psychology, I discovered the major of Neuroscience. Therefore, when transferring, I found that the University of Arizona had an excellent program that would assist me in achieving my educational endeavors in Neuroscience.

Why is it important for you to graduating with a STEM major? * By having a degree in a STEM major, will allows me to further expand my knowledge. So I can teach and inspire the future generations within my major of Neuroscience.

What was the last math class you took? When was it? *
The last math class I took was Calculus II in the spring 2015 semester at Manchester Community College.

I have accomplished multiple Psychology, Biology, and Math classes that have taught me information on how to conduct research. Though after reading and analyzing many research articles, I wish to start opportunities that allow me to assist with research and receive hands on involvement. Although, I do not have any previous research involvement, the Transfer ASEMS Scholars Program will allow me to receive more in-depth education and other opportunities to experience how research and laboratories are conducted.
