The usage of drones, planes, and satellites by authorities will cause a stir for most people. Some will think that it’s more than alright to use them to obtain information, while others will consider the usage of these devices a violation of their 4th Amendment rights. Although it could be helpful in some instances, the utilization of drones, planes, and satellites without a warrant is a violation of the 4th Amendment. If it was approved that authorities could use this there would be multiple individuals who would feel as if their privacy could be invaded at any moment. To put it simply, using these devices without a warrant will simply result in an unwanted argument. In court, an individual could fight that their privacy was invaded and that, without a warrant, the authorities had no right to use technology to get the information that they needed. If they had enough information to be suspicious of that individual’s actions, they should have been able to get a warrant or, if there was not enough information, investigate further until there was enough, without invading the individual’s privacy or violating their 4th Amendment …show more content…

They will have to think beyond the cases in which using drones, planes, or satellites, with or without a warrant, is the best decision. They will have to think about the smaller cases, where the rights of individuals will be violated and they will have to dismiss evidence, and essentially waste their time. They will probably have to put restrictions on the usage of these devices, just to ensure that no one’s rights will be violated. Overall, the usage of drones, planes, and satellites by authorities, without a warrant, will result in the violation of the 4th Amendment. Although some may think that it will be helpful, others will always be against it. Without usage restrictions made by the courts, several cases will come up that won’t be worth fighting. In the end, the usage of these devices is a violation of an individual’s 4th Amendment
