Have you ever believed in something that other people didn’t and believed in that something so strongly that those other people thought of you differently? Maybe you were even bullied about it? That’s exactly what happened to Margot in the story All Summer In a Day.
The book all summer in a day can be compared easily to the picture called Lonely little duck.

Then William has the idea to "put her in a closet before the teacher comes!” and all of the kids “surged about her” and “caught her up and bore her,” and carried her to the closet “where they slammed and locked the door”
Here all of the other children were actively bullying Margot, first by lying to her about the sun coming out that day, and then by them all seizing her and putting her in a closet for the one hour in 7 years that the sun comes out. After all of this clearly, the other kids were being influenced by William from the beginning.
In all of these examples the other kids first don’t do anything to help or stand up for Margot, then they all isolate Margot. Finally, all of the other children lie to Margot and lock her in a closet. Here you can see how the bully influenced the other kids just a little at first until it escalated quickly into something big. Here all of them were bullies right from the beginning by doing nothing about the bullying in the first place, then by going as far as locking Margot in the
