The armenian genocide The events that occured in world war II against the armenians constitute genocide. The armenian genocide began in 1915 and ended in 1918, through the course of three years the turks murdered an estimate of 1.5 million armenians living in the ottoman empire. The ways in which the turks murdered the armenians can be seen as tourcheres and an example of dehumanization. Some of the ways in which they murdered the armenians were by starvation, walking to death, and burning them. These methods of killing can be seen as dehumanizations because the turks took away the armenians natural human rights that they were born with, and treated them without human qualities. This can also be seen as dehumanizing them, this means that the turks stripped the Armenians of their human qualities. A 101-year-old Armenian genocide survivor tells her story "a young girl and seeing throngs of Armenian woman children and elderly being marched out into the desert to the eventual death." This shows that the Turks used to walking as a way to kill The Armenians efficiently, it also shows how emotionless and heartless they were when seeing these people die. A quote also writes “mama, I am hungry. I want some bread. Mama, I’m thirsty. Mama, I cannot walk,” this shows us how the turks used starvation as a method to murdering the Armenians. And even when these innocent children were begging for help, they refused and fulfilled their orders.
