Athena of Wisdom

In Greek mythology Athena is the goddess of wisdom, due to her intelligence and fairness. The Greek goddess Athena is usually portrayed as one of the strongest god’s in Olympia. Representing the god of wisdom, gods and mortals were fascinated with Athena; her intelligence gave wisdom to both mortals and immortals. She gained her wisdom from her mother Metis and intelligence from her father Zeus. According to myth, Zeus had a horrible headache, so he asked another god Prometheus to cut open his head. Once Zeus’s head was cut open, Athena came out fully formed as an adult. Athena was worshipped in all parts of Greece; she was famous for automatically giving mortals her blessings and love, since most gods did not understand human situations. Athena understood her true nature and the nature of the mortals. Athena considered the olive very sacred because of its benefits and offered the olive as a gift to her people. Athena had a significant role in the lives of the people; she gave the people a love that they could keep forever that no one could take away.
Athena is a wise and intelligent goddess; her personality has a mixture of compassion and wisdom. She will always be a favorite goddess of many, remembered in the past and future. Her fairness gives her distinction from other gods. Her worshippers looked to her for love, protection and advice. She granted answers, love, and support to the prayers of her worshippers.
