Winter Olympics Bobsledding Competition: Have you ever wanted to be in the winter olympics. In the winter olympics there is a event called bobsledding it can be very dangerous. I am researching about bobsledding. The winter olympics are every other four years and so are the summer olympics, but we are going into the winter olympics. In bobsledding the main goal is to get the highest time in the two runs that you have. In this event you have a bobsled that you ride down the icy slopes with to get your score. Your score is based on what your time was and the speed that you were going. The will also combined your two scores and that will give your final score. Bobsledding first got added to the olympics in 1924. Bobsledding was invented in the 1860’s. Germany holds the most gold medals in the olympics. Equipment: The equipment that they use is a steal sled with breaks in the back to stop at the finish line. Bobsledding is such a competitive sport because, they say that bobsledding is the most competitive sport and the most expensive sport. They have a four man. They also have two man where they only have two people in the sled the four man is when they have the four people in the sled. Safety: To keep the competitor safe when they are up they are required to wear a helmet in case of if they reck, They have to wear padding to keep them protected, and they have their suit that determines which team they are.
